DIRECTIONS

We meet at Rifle Road parking lot at 9:50 AM, we enter the range as a group at 1000 AM!!!

Launch dates will be posted to the calendar, please check for updates from time to time.  Also check http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ottawa-rocketry/ The Connaught Range and Primary Training Center (CRPTC) is our current launch site on Department of National Defence property. This facility is generously available to us so we must follow the safety rules of the range. The whole group is to arrive on the Range at the same time, so we meet in the parking lot about 9:50. The range safety officer drives out first going into the office.  We go onto the range and wait for him/her. Sunday launches start after the safety briefing and field setup.  After the safety briefing by the RSO (range safety officer), the Launch Control Officer takes over the range calling whether the field is open or closed.  Safety is one of our prime concerns so please note who is the RSO and who is the LCO.

Directions to the field:

Travel west from Ottawa along Highway 417, exit at Moodie Drive (exit #134), and go north to Carling Avenue. Turn left and follow Carling for approximately 3 km, then turn right onto Rifle Road. Drive north  It is clearly marked with a DND sign as well as a R.C.M.P sign. Turn right and follow the road to the parking lot on the right hand side, just before the beach parking lot.  We gather in the parking lot and wait until most have arrived.
